New forthcoming album: 'Respire'

It’s been a long time coming, so I’m thrilled to finally announce the release of the fifth Dextro album, ‘Respire’, on the 12th of September 2024. Pre-order HERE.

Watch the video for ‘Inseparable’, the first single from the album – created by the talented film maker Sean McKenna. ‘Inseparable’ is available to stream and watch in all the usual places [link in bio]. The song also features the talents of guest musician friends Tom Merritt Smith (Cello) and Kate Halsall (Harmonium).

‘Respire’ will be available on Limited Edition Olive Green LP and available in all good record stores. Sleeve layout design by Adam Ian Sykes.

'Respire' focuses on the intrinsic: the forgotten and inseparable aspects of life that come prior to our human experience. I hope you find the time to listen.

Out via Mr Medicine Records 2024.

Dextro will be playing this year's Northern Electric Festival  at the Lubber Fiend on the 10th of August 2024.

Tickets available here (including day tickets)

Delighted to be part of this release!: the 50th anniversary reissue of Harmonia’s ‘Musik von Harmonia’. This album is one of my all time favourite records and has had a huge influence on me musically.

The reissue includes the original album plus a second vinyl of excellent ‘reworks’ from the likes of James Holden, Marta Salogni and Michael Rother himself.

As Dextro, I did a rework of ‘Watussi’, a song that I have so much love for that it felt slightly strange reworking it. The original is an intricate and complex dance of rhythms and melodies. Doing the rework only gave me more respect for the incredible work of Michael and band mates in the making of an absolute classic. 🙏🏼❤️

Big thanks to Mareike and Groenland Records for putting this together. Out soon as part of record store day 2024 (April 20th)!
